The Phillips’ Mill Art Committee continues its 93-year tradition of producing one of the region’s most prestigious art exhibitions. This year they reinstated in-person jurying, a rarity in our modern era. Their community believes jurors are best able to appreciate artwork in person, where they can see color, texture, and brushstrokes more clearly.

The artwork will be displayed in their 18th-century grist mill, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The stone building with broad timbered beams has been a beautiful setting for art for nearly a century. It is the birthplace of the New Hope School, influential in the American Impressionist Movement.
