Modern Fossils is excited to announce that two of our pieces have been accepted into the exhibition "A Thousand Words" presented by CORE New Art Space in Denver, CO! The accepted Modern Fossils are: "The Story of A Fisherman" and "Brink of Extinction: A Story of Survival".
The Exhibit will hang from April 16th - May 2nd 2021, with an Artists' Reception on Friday April 16th from 7 - 9pm.
This juried exhibition features artwork that tells a story. The art in this Exhibit spans the range from realistically, abstractly or expressionistically inspired by literature and legends, poetry and parables, novels and narratives, or myths and metaphors. Some pieces have their own fiction, fable, folklore or fairytale. Think mystery, love story, comedy, tragedy and science fiction. This Show includes a variety of mediums expressing what the viewer will perceive to be worth a thousand words.
Modern Fossils' Fisherman piece tells "The Story of a Fisherman" (found at https://www.highview.com.au/the-story-of-a-fisherman/) portraying the importance of knowing your life goals, and "being more with less".
Our piece "Brink of Extinction" tells the story of the endangered Blue Whales, Earth's largest animals, who were brought to the brink of extinction by commercial whaling, and still struggle to survive despite protection.
