Modern Fossils is honored to announce that we will be "featured artists" in The West Orange Arts Council's upcoming Exhibition entitled "Objet Trouve"! We will he hanging a 16 piece polyptych (multiple pieces that form 1 image) depicting a tree branch that will extend the entire length of a 7 foot wall. From the branch will hang our Flag Fossil entitled "America the Beautiful".

Three more of our Modern Fossils will be hung as well, including "Techno Turtle", "Mantis of Peace", and "Sacred Scarab". The Show will run from January 15th through February 27th 2021.

The West Orange Arts Council proudly presents "Objet Trouve", a French term describing art created from undisguised, but often modified, objects or products that are not normally considered materials from which art is made, often because they already have a non-art function.
In this exhibit, artists demonstrate the unique ways they use found objects and breathe meaning and life into them. Even the most common of objects, discarded as no longer useful, can, in the hands of an artist, be given new purpose and life.

When: Jan 15th - Feb 27th 2021
