**BREAKING NEWS!**

David Horowitz has been appointed as Director and Curator of the NEW Sculpture Garden at Whittemore Nature Preseve in Tewksbury Township, NJ!

Mission Statement: Whittemore is a land and cultural preservation effort on the behalf of the last property owner, Helen A. Whittemore. In keeping with her vision, the sculpture garden art will focus on the Earthworks Art Movement and Environmental Sculptures created using sustainable materials and processes.

It is Whittemore's goal to select and install large-scale sculptures that exemplify Helen’s vision and passion for preservation of our natural environment. David Horowitz, as Director and Curator, will select artworks mindful of this imperative criteria.

Join us for the First Installation Event on Saturday May 16th: the unveiling of “Oracle", created by David Horowitz. This twenty foot tall Totem type sculpture is a nod to the indigenous inhabitants of the North American continent. Large pieces of our natural environment (trees, branches, stones and boulders) are artfully balanced by stacking, twisting and nesting together, engineering an abstract natural giant, watching over the Whittemore Preserve. The assemblage of these large pieces of mother earth speak to the delicate and imperative balance required between humans and the planet we live on. The “Oracle” will be the steward of Whittemore.

WHEN: Saturday, May 16th, 6:30pm-8:30pm

WHERE: 7 Rockaway Rd, Lebanon, NJ 08833
