LARGE STORM DRAIN COVER 46” x 8.5” x 1”
This original, handmade plaster casting, inspired by local strom drain covers, was designed using both natural and man-made objects found during environmental clean-ups. This piece depicts the struggle between the longing to stay young and the desire to grow up. This dichotomy is embodied by the materials used: both "fairy tale" objects (old clock, tinkerbell, etc) & "grown up" objects (saws, beer caps). This artwork also embodies the vital environmental message proclaiming the urgency of keeping our waterways clean and healthy.
